NORTH ORIENTAL CIRCUIT PERU
DAY 1: Arrival by flight or bus to Trujillo, transfer to hotel Los Conquistadores***. Overnight and breakfast buffet.
DAY 2: Private Tour: Visit to the Huaca Arco Iris alias El Dragón, a Chimu (1200-1470 AC) temple to the north of Trujillo which was part of the Chimu Capital Chan Chan. Afterwards we visit the beach town Huanchaco, where Fisher men have fished with reed boats “caballitos de totora” made of totora reed since pre-inca times. We continue our tour with Chan Chan, the capital de Chimú dynasty (1200 a 1470 AC) and the largest mud clay (adobe) city of America. Return to Trujillo for lunch and afterwards we see a demonstration of the “caballos de paso”, the Peruvian horse and its elegant movements on rhythm of the Marinera dance. We end our tour by visiting the central city of Trujillo and its Main square, colonial mansions and churches that remind us of the historic importance of Trujillo.

DAY 3: Private Tour: Visit to the Huaca de la luna, an adobe mud pyramid made by the Moche culture (100 - 750 AC) which is decorated with mural paintings that represent their main deity, Ai–Paec, known as the “Decapitator ”. Visit to the monument and its interesting site museum.
Transfer to the Emtrafesa bus station to take a comfortable public bus to Chiclayo. Upon arrival transfer to Hotel Inti. Afterwards we visit several villages on a “beach circuit”: Monsefu known for the production of Wood and reed handicrafts. Afterwards we pass by Santa Rosa to see the fishermen and their reeds boats “caballitos de totora” and “artisanal boats”. Pimentel is a small beach town which was used for the sugar cane exportation and is where we hope to observe a beautiful senset before returning to the hotel.

DAY 4: Private Tour: Visit to the archeological site of Túcume where we can observe 26 truncated pyramids of up to 35 meters high from the Lambayeque culture (800-1470 AC). Afterwards we visit the splendid museum Tumbas Reales with the remains of the tomb of the Lord of Sipán, the most important archeological discovery in Latin America of the last 30 years. Lunch in Lambayeque.
In the afternoon visit to the archeological site of Huaca Rajada (the tomb of the Lord of Sipán) where in 1987 were found the remains of a leader of the Mochica hierarchy. In the evening transfer to the bus terminal of Movil Tours for a comfortable bus to Chachapoyas (7.45 pm)
DAY 5: Arrival in Chachapoyas and transfer to Hotel Casa Vieja. Day tour to the Sarcophagus of Karajía, unique in its gender. Lunch in Lamud. In the afternoon visit to the Caves of Quiocta, considered the most beautiful in Peru with stalactites of impressive size (up to 550meters high).

DAY 6: Day Tour to the archeological site of Kuelap, also knwon as the Machu Picchu of North Peru. Kuelap has almost 500 buildings. Orchids and bromelias cover the walls and trees inside the site.

DAY 7: Private Tour: Gocta, walk or horseback riding to the waterfall catarata (2h30 aprox.), enjoying the great biodiversity. Free afternoon.

DAY 8: Early Transfer to Pedro Ruiz to take the comfortable public bus to Tarapoto (Movil Tours, semi-cama service). Upon arrival transfer to the hotel, welcome coctail. Free afternoon to enjoy the swimming pool, gardens and other facilities of the hotel. Dinner, Overnight and American breakfast in hotel Río Shilcayo***.
DAY 9: Morning visit to the Waterfall of Ahuashiyacu located in a Protected Area. Back in the hotel lunch. In the afternoon visit to the Huallaga Canyons with several panoramic stops on the way. Arrival in the PumaRinri Lodge and free time to enjoy the environment of the Lodge. y tarde libre para disfrutar las piscinas y el entorno. DAY 10: Walk through the jungle towards the waterfalls of Pucayaquillo. Lunch. In the afternoon boat ride through the canyons and rapids of the Huallaga river. Dinner, Overnight and American breakfast in PumaRinri Lodge.
DAY 11: Return to Tarapoto and free time to relax or do some shoppings. Lunch and transfer to the airport for the flight to Lima or Iquitos.
